The gorilla population in the wild degrades year per year. It is truly an experience of a lifetime to see one or some of them. Half of the remaining gorilla species in the wild lives in the Virunga range which is now declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the site is located at the boundaries of Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The extinct volcanic land mass spans to about 46 square miles in area which homes six volcanoes. The open terrain on the Rwandan part of the park enables photographers opportunitues for photoshoot. However, the gorillas move around very freely around the park. So when they transfer from one country to another country, the gorilla tracking on their previous niche is usually restrained.
